Thank you for your interest in making a donation to the Retired Public Employees PAC.
The Retired Public Employees Political Action Committee (PAC) is the political arm of the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts. As a separate entity, the PAC is responsible for the political promotion of public policies that directly impact public retirees and survivors, such as COLA and health care benefits, along with defending our defined benefit pension plan.
By law, our state PAC can only be used to support state and local candidates within Massachusetts. We are legally prohibited from donating or using PAC resources in federal elections.
As one of the largest and most active PACs within Massachusetts, we openly assist elected officials, who have a record of supporting public retirees. We also help those candidates who pledge to make our members’ interests a priority once in office or have demonstrated a commitment to public retirees and survivors.
Our PAC is supported through the generosity of our members and those with an interest in the issues of importance to public retirees. Donations are voluntary, with an average annual contribution of $10 from members who choose to do so. However, the PAC can accept individual contributions of up to $500.00 annually.
In order to comply with Massachusetts campaign finance law, we ask that donors please include their name, and address when making a PAC contribution.
